British children stolen parents credit card to Net purchase Become serious!!!
Xinhua London on November 13 just released the latest survey results show that some British children stolen parents credit card to purchase on network is very fearful, parents need to pay 191,000,000 pounds this year(about 286,000,000 U.S. dollars) .
According to the CPP's survey data showed that the 20% 8-year-old to 16-year-old child had ever stolen their parents credit card to buy electronic products online, the computer game software and popular accessories, the number has more than 1,000,000.
Investigation showed that the purchasing power of 15-year-old children are the most productive, 10% of them shop online one time per month without parenets's knowing and each goods cost 25 pounds (37 dollars) averagely; 5% of children spend 75 pounds (112 U.S. dollars) To 100 pounds (149 U.S. dollars) each time.
CPP's select other 500 young people and adults each to survey, found that 44 percent of the parents will save favorite shopping site on the computer, one-third of parents will save bank card information online. This makes children easy access to their account information.
Survey reported that the majority of parents unaware about childred behaviour. 6% of parents said that their children know their credit card information. 2% of parents think that their children may purchase online withour their permission.
However, CPP's Michel.Lynch have another concern, "careless with private information , not only to induce children to shopping online privately, and And easy to make these parents face the risk of fraud network."
And I think parents should take care of their private information. No seller want to receive unauthorized payments. And the parents should tell children should be honest with any purchase, no matter online or not.
I still find that another invest about UK credit card crime:
UK Crime Down But Credit Card Fraud Flying High
It seems as though the UK criminal fraternity have moved high tech with news that overall crime numbers are down but credit card fraud is still growing strongly. While the above statement will surprise many it is no surprise to the experts who have seen credit card crime mushroom over the last few years. So why is credit card crime growing?
One of the main reasons why credit card crime has moved onto a different level is basically the number of opportunities presented to the crooks. Card swiping machines can often be placed out of sight of the credit card holder and a quick flash past a swipe machine in their pocket and a copy of the card will be available in a matter of hours.
Such is the growth in credit card crime that the price of stolen personal account details has fallen to only a few pounds on the black market. There are so many actions which credit card holders can take to reduce the chances of fraud but it seems that more and more live by the rule ‘it will never happen to me’.
Credit card fraud is a growing business and while many holders will be covered by insurance, the credit card companies will soon grow tired of bailing out those who do not take precautions themselves.
So I think seller will aware that they have to pay more attention to UK kids.
